Hello backers! Our seventh project is live!

Looking to pack light for your next trip? Losing your mind over tangled cables of multiple chargers in your bag? Third-party charger won’t fast charge your Apple Watch? You asked we listened. After 6 months of design, prototyping, and refining, we are thrilled to bring you Maco Go 2 - the smallest Apple Watch fast charger.

Retaining its mobility and thoughtful design, Maco Go 2 allows you to do more with your Apple Watch, be it traveling, trekking, or simply a day in the office. Its fast-charging capability brings your watch back to life 50% faster. 

To improve product reliability and compatibility with future Apple Watch models, we designed Maco Go 2 to be MFi certified. As a result, product cost is increased threefold. But we've decided to absorb much of the cost difference to ensure Maco Go 2 is priced competitively.  

We have limited Early Bird reward for Maco Go 2. We could say a lot more, but we’re going to let our Kickstarter video do the talking.

Hi backers,

How is everyone doing? By now most of you should have received the Maco Trace and other add-ons you pledged. We hope you enjoyed our creation and find it useful.

Problem

While we would like to believe everything is hunky-dory, bootstrapping a Kickstarter project is full of surprises and challenges. From some backers' feedback, we realized there is a batch of products that has a damaged hinge. A sample picture received from the backer is as below.

Solutions

We are working closely with the manufacturer to identify the root cause. So far we have conducted pull tests on the hinge itself and found the part to be working as designed. Currently, we suspect the hinge was damaged during assembly onto the main body, possibly due to forceful snap-in. We believe it is an isolated batch where the worker may have used the wrong technique to assemble the product (or simply super strong fingers!). 

We are checking all the remaining stocks and updating the assembly instructions to avoid this issue from recurring. For those that email us with clear pictures and info, the replacement is being arranged as communicated.

Fulfillment Update - Batch#1

Hello folks,

Good news: The Batch#1 shipments will process this week. After months of production and packaging, they are finally ready to head your way. They were ready 10 days back but Shenzhen was under Covid lockdown and only recently reopened. The reward shipments have been started this week and are expected to arrive on your doorsteps in 1 to 2 weeks (*delay may happen depending on your location or your local customs issue). The tracking numbers will be uploaded to Backerkit once we receive them from our logistic partners.

Batch#1 shipment will consist of 1394 backers that filled up the Backerkit survey. Thanks for the timely feedback. We still have 84 backers who did not respond to the survey and 3 charge card issues. If you are unsure if you had done the survey, click on the link here and key in your email used for Kickstarter.
